| Ever since childhood I have found joy in creating things, especially for others. My goal is to create jewelry that is timeless & affordable. I want to make jewelry for women, like myself…a necklace that is simple & can be worn with jeans, yet elegant enough for evening wear. I use natural semi-precious gemstones, freshwater pearls, & wood with contrasting silk thread or leather to create unique jewelry. The pieces are simple & will survive passing trends and fads. Every necklace is hand-tied on silk or leather & finished with sterling silver. I use a silver clasp with the ‘shou’ symbol and hang a gingko leaf on each. The Chinese ‘shou’ symbol translates to ‘long life’. As the only living fossil, the gingko represents longevity. Although each piece is one of a kind, the same care goes into each piece. jsill designs is a Northern California based jewelry line founded in 2003 by designer, Jessica Sill.
